About The Workshops
Developed with care and expertise, the Skill-building Workshops offer participants a welcoming space to rebuild confidence and gain practical skills.
Each session focuses on a key area of personal growth, from digital literacy and job skills training to time management, social skills, and peer support. Our approach is holistic, ensuring that participants not only learn but also feel supported by a network of peers and mentors.
This Is For You, If:
- You’re a person with ABI looking to regain your independence and confidence in daily life.
- You’re a carer and/or family member wanting to explore resources for ABI support.
- You’re a professional interested in ABI rehabilitation and community support.


Each workshop is thoughtfully developed to support ABI individuals in:
- Practising social skills and emotional resilience through peer support groups.
- Building employability with simulated work environments and job training.
- Enhancing independence through life skills like budgeting and meal planning.

HOW TO GET THERE:
Option 1: Walk (Recommended) ~ 10mins
Exit Central Station onto Ann Street. Walk south along Edward Street. Turn right onto Adelaide Street. Continue onto George Street. Brisbane Square Library is located within Brisbane Square at 266 George Street.
Option 2: Free City Loop Bus
Brisbane City Council operates free City Loop buses that stop near Brisbane Square Library. You can catch one from the CBD near Central Station and get off close to Brisbane Square. This is handy if it’s raining or you don’t feel like walking.
Option 3: Regular Bus
From stops near Central Station (such as Adelaide Street), many city buses travel towards George Street and North Quay. The closest stops to the library are: George Street Stop 116, Adelaide Street stops near George Street, or Queen Street Station. From any of these stops it’s only a 1–3 minute walk.
Please note, the library does not have a car park, but there is a drop-off area.
