The Brain Injury Group is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, facilitators, and staff involved in our workshops and services. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for behaviour to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
2. Expected Behaviour
Participants, facilitators, and staff are expected to:
- Treat all individuals with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere by being patient and understanding of diverse perspectives and abilities.
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by facilitators and staff.
- Maintain the confidentiality of personal information shared by others during workshops.
- Use respectful language in all forms of communication.
- Address conflicts constructively and seek resolution with the assistance of facilitators or staff when necessary.
3. Prohibited Behaviour
The following behaviours will not be tolerated:
- Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind, including based on disability, gender, ethnicity, religion, or other personal attributes.
- Use of offensive, inappropriate, or abusive language.
- Disruption of workshops or other activities, including excessive interruptions or refusal to engage respectfully.
- Physical aggression or threats toward others.
- Misuse of workshop resources or property.
- Sharing confidential or sensitive information disclosed during workshops without permission.
4. Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it promptly to a facilitator or staff member and email as at emma.thebrainhub@gmail.com. All reports will be handled with discretion and addressed as soon as possible.
5. Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Removal from the current workshop or activity.
- Suspension or exclusion from future workshops or services provided by the Brain Injury Group.
- Referral to appropriate authorities in cases of severe misconduct.
6. Acceptance of the Code of Conduct
By participating in Brain Injury Group workshops or activities, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct.
